Working in partnership with B&NES AHDC

Both playschemes are suitable for disabled children and are run as inclusive provision. The Threeways playscheme is specifically for disabled children and their siblings who may be non-disabled. Contribution costs of £6 per day

The playscheme at Twerton is fully inclusive and positively welcomes all children especially disabled children. The playscheme has been running in a variety of locations since 1989 and moved to it's present venue in 1996. Until 2005 the playscheme ran specifically for disabled children with a community playscheme running alongside.

The playscheme is closed access which means parents and carers have to book in advance by completing a Registration Form and a Booking Form. These are available to download...  All forms must be printed out, completed, signed and returned to the BAPP office at Odd Down Community Centre, Odins Road, Odd Down, Bath, BA2 2TL

All playschemes are staffed by qualified and experienced playworkers including Threeways staff who are all CRB Checked. Playschemes will provide disabled and non-disabled children with the chance to have a FUN summer; making a mess, being active, using up energy, enjoying tactile and sensory stimulation, playing games as well as being around their friends and making new friends.

You must book places in advance by completing a Booking Form and if you haven’t used BAPP before, you will also need to fill in a Registration Form.

If your child or children need to have medication administered whilst they are at playscheme, you will also need to complete a Medication Consent Form and agree to any medical protocols.

You can book days at one or both of the playschemes. Please note that because there is an upper age limit at the Hut, children 13 years and over will get priority at the Threeways playscheme. Children requiring use of hoists for movement will also have priority at Threeways as this is NOT available at the Hut. Children will need to bring a packed lunch and drinks

Children attending open-access holiday playschemes are asked to get a mini consent form signed and returned to the Playleader. The form must be printed out, completed, signed and returned to the BAPP office.

All of our playschemes will provide the opportunity for children to go on trips away from the playscheme. These will be limited to a certain number of children and consent forms given out. A child cannot go on a trip unless they have a completed and signed Consent Form from a parent or carer. Where children are off for the whole day, a packed lunch and drink will also need to be provided.

Foxhill Community Centre is a multi-use centre operated by a Community Association. We have sole use of the venue whilst the playscheme is open.

The Centre consists of one main large hall with a kitchen, small office/storage space and toilets. Outside there is a tarmac area with small grass spaces, and some trees at the front and side of the building. At the rear of the centre is a large, public open space which is level and flat with trees and bushes. This is used by the playscheme for a variety of play and sporting activity.

The Playscheme also uses Rainbow Woods, a public woodland further into Combe Down for outdoor woodland play.

The playscheme is well used by an average of 30 to 40 children per session.

The centre consists of an open-plan downstairs area with kitchen, pool table, toilets and office/storage space. Upstairs is a large hall, an art room and a further multi purpose space usually used for messier play. The centre has a pool table and a trampoline which we are able to use with a qualified Trampoline Instructor. Outside there is limited grass space - a small area to the rear of the centre together with a large 5-a-side court for outdoor play.

This is a well used playscheme with the highest number attending - an average of 50-60 per session.

The building has a good sized hall, a coffee bar area, kitchen and toilets inside as well as a hard 5-a-side court area outside. Fully accessible, children can access a range of creative and physical play as well as use their imaginations to build dens and create fantasy worlds. Drinks and healthy snacks are made in the kitchen and the local Recreation Ground is just across the road.
