The playscheme at Twerton is fully inclusive and positively welcomes all children especially disabled children. The playscheme has been running in a variety of locations since 1989 and moved to it's present venue in 1996. Until 2005 the playscheme ran specifically for disabled children with a community playscheme running alongside.
The playscheme is closed access which means parents and carers have to book in advance by completing a Registration Form and a Booking Form. These are available to download... All forms must be printed out, completed, signed and returned to the BAPP office at Odd Down Community Centre, Odins Road, Odd Down, Bath, BA2 2TL
|
All playschemes are staffed by qualified and experienced playworkers including Threeways staff who are all CRB Checked. Playschemes will provide disabled and non-disabled children with the chance to have a FUN summer; making a mess, being active, using up energy, enjoying tactile and sensory stimulation, playing games as well as being around their friends and making new friends.
You must book places in advance by completing a Booking Form and if you haven’t used BAPP before, you will also need to fill in a Registration Form.
If your child or children need to have medication administered whilst they are at playscheme, you will also need to complete a Medication Consent Form and agree to any medical protocols.
You can book days at one or both of the playschemes. Please note that because there is an upper age limit at the Hut, children 13 years and over will get priority at the Threeways playscheme. Children requiring use of hoists for movement will also have priority at Threeways as this is NOT available at the Hut. Children will need to bring a packed lunch and drinks |
