The very popular SOFA (Summer of Fun Activities) programme has been put together by young people. The programme is designed for disabled and non-disabled and disadvantaged young people aged 12 – 19 years and will be well supported by qualified and a dedicated staff team.
The programme is designed to support young people who might otherwise be involved in less positive activities so if you work with a group of young people or an individual young person who you think would benefit from taking part, please tell them about SOFA! SOFA is an ideal social opportunity which is age appropriate and relevant to young people and for many being with peers during the long summer break, makes a huge difference to maintaining and building their self esteem and confidence levels.
SOFA is an inclusive programme and we are keen to ensure that young people, who might not otherwise have the opportunity to access a project of this nature, to have the chance to do so. Young people need to choose which days they would like to do and send back their booking form signed by a parent/carer. For some young people, this requires an interested adult to regularly remind them to do this and send it back to us or they may miss out.

BAPP is very excited to share a short film which captures a snapshot of the fantastic SOFA inclusive programme in the summer for disabled and non-disabled young people aged 12+. With grateful thanks to Gemma and Julie for their hard work in bringing all the 1,000s of images together.
