What does volunteering involve?

Bath Area Play Project positively welcome all volunteers aged 14 years plus to get involved with our services either on a regular basis or one off or just during the school holidays. Volunteering can involve whatever you feel comfortable doing; this might be supporting an individual child or helping out with Playworkers to facilitate play. This could be sporty and active play, creative and messy play, construction, water play, bikes and scooters, den building and cooking.

Play Mentors

BAPP have a number of children and young people who have had some support as part of our Family Support and Play Service and would greatly benefit from having a Play Mentor. This would be a regular weekly or fortnightly commitment to spend some quality time with a child or young person. It could be that you enjoy sport and are happy to kick a ball around in the park or are a dab hand at baking and could help a child to learn some cooking skills. You may be a great listener and enjoy walking and exploring the local area or visiting museums. Whatever your skills, if you have some time that you can give, we have children that would really benefit from your time and support

Please get in touch with the office (01225) 832479 or Harriet, our Volunteer Co-ordinator harriet@bathareaplayproject.co.uk

We are seeking a volunteer to help maintain the garden at our pre-school building, The Hut in Twerton. For all Volunteer positions, expenses can be paid including travel costs.

Do you hold a full clean driving licence? Do you want to use this to support children and families in your local community? We are looking for volunteer drivers to support with two driving roles; delivery of resources and to support with providing transport to opportunties and appointments for vulnerable parents, children and young people. For volunteers using their own vehicles mileage will be paid. Drivers working directly with children and young people will be subject to an enhanced DBS check prior to appointment.
