Bath Area Play Project is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment and embed this into practice

 

All positions working within BAPP require an Enhanced DBS Disclosure and the receipt of 2 written references as part of our Safeguarding Policy. Any gaps in career history will be explored at interview and copies of formal identification as well as training certificates will be required at interview stage.

Once appointed, staff and volunteers will have an Induction detailing responsibilities in relation to Safeguarding as well as opportunity to attend Multi-agency training. Safeguarding is always discussed in Team Debrief sessions as well as supervision.

 

 

Playworker vacancies

BAPP are looking for new Playworkers to join teams working with disabled children and non-disabled aged 5 to 19 years. We have vacancies during most school holidays, Saturday's, lunchtime in term time and other sessions.

Early Years Practitioner 21 hours/week working Monday, Tuesday and Fridays Term time only £8.74/hour

 

Bath Area Play Project are looking for a warm and friendly early years practitioner to join their team as Maternity Cover starting as soon as possible, by 4th March at the latest. Part time, working 3 days/week on a Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 8.30- 15.30, 21 hours with some flexibility for team meetings. Additional hours may be available to cover for staff holidays and illness and during some school holidays.

We require a reliable and committed practitioner who can turn their hand to anything, happy to play outdoors in all weather. muck in and have fun supporting children to learn through play. You will have experience of working with babies and pre-school children, hold an early years level 2 or 3 qualification, safeguarding and First Aid and/ or be willing to attend training.

The Hut Nursery & Pre-school is a small, term time only setting registered Good by Ofsted where children are not separated by age. We focus on learning through play, evidencing progress on the EYFS and supporting children to flourish and enjoy their learning. Lunchtime Play Support Worker (7.5 hours/week) 

 

BAPP are asked by schools to provide playworkers at lunchtime to enable children to have a positive play time and be in a better place to go back into the classroom. The job is all weathers and term time only. Where there is wet play, the role will be supervising children in a hall or classroom depending on the school, still ensuring that children have a positive play experience so may include running group games and using distraction to avoid conflict!
