Connecting With Higher Education

Develop beneficial relationships with local Higher Education Institutions.

Identify and build relationships with these local universities to provide opportunities for CYPN members to engage with and support three pillars of higher education:

- Research

- Knowledge Exchange

- Degree courses and other courses (e.g. short courses)

Expand the programme of Themed Knowledge Cafés

- Work with contacts in local universities to build on the learning from the pilot Themed Knowledge Cafés to expand the breadth and depth of the themes.

- Explore opportunities from Knowledge Exchange budgets within universities to secure more collaborative activities with CYPN members.

Establish CYPN Special Interest Groups (SIG)

-Support ongoing CYPN-led developments from themed knowledge cafes

Inform new, CYPN-led themes for future knowledge cafes

-Provide a more focused networking opportunity for smaller cohorts of CYPN members, to support service delivery, developmental projects, and research studies –with the aim of improving outcomes for children and young people.
