Children & Young People's Network

Purpose 

The purpose of the Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES) VCS Children and Young People's Network (CYPN) is to champion outcomes for children, youth and families in B&NES by...  

Providing information and support to Voluntary and Community Sector organisations working with Children and Young People in B&NES. 

Providing a network for Voluntary and Community Sector organisations working with Children and Young People in B&NES. 

Enabling and supporting Voluntary and Community Sector organisations working with Children and Young People in B&NES to be represented at strategic level. 

Who are we? 

The (VCS) CYPN is made up of professionals from Bath and Northeast Somerset working in the voluntary sector with children and young people. This includes but is not limited to; early years settings, youth groups, religious and faith groups and SEND services.  

Meetings 

The Children and Young People’s Network will meet 4 times a year. 

Meetings will take place in a central, accessible venue allowing ease of access to members from all parts of the B&NES area. The meetings will last no longer than 2 hours (except where agreed). 

Where the agenda allows, time will be allocated for networking and organisations can display information, leaflets, and publicity about events at each network meeting. 

Membership of the Children and Young People’s Network will be open to all those working with Children and Young People in the voluntary sector in B&NES. 

The Network Co-ordinator will take notes of the meetings and circulate to all members of the network.  

Frequency Of Meetings  

CYPN meetings will be held monthly, or more frequently at the discretion of the steering group.  

The CYPN Co-ordinator and the steering group will be responsible for organizing monthly meetings, preparing agendas.
