Every Child Has a Right to Play

BAPP is a local voluntary organisation and Registered Charity. We promote and facilitate opportunities for children and young people to play and participate in positive activities. We promote the importance of self-directed play for child development and the rights of children.

Current Job Vacancies -


Early Years Assistant (6hrs) – Wednesdays Term time:

The Hut Nursery & Pre-school is small setting with children from 6 months to 4 years all together, plenty of room inside and out to play and learn including a secure garden with mud kitchen, bike track and sensory planting as well as a soft play room and sensory room.

Due to increased numbers of children, we need an Early Years Assistant on a Wednesday starting from January until the end of the Summer term. Further hours may be available to cover staff holidays, absence or where numbers increase. Hours of work on a Wednesday would be 08.45 to 15.15. This job is in Twerton.

Early Years Practitioner (21 hrs/wk) Wednesday - Friday Term Time only.

We also have an Early Years Practitioner Vacancy working 21 hours/week, Weds, Thursdays and Fridays Term Time only. For this role, you would need to hold an Early Years Qualification, Level 2 or 3 or be willing to complete a Level 3.

Ideally you will have experience of working or volunteering with this age group and perhaps be studying or have completed an Early Years or Childcare qualification. We can provide access to Safeguarding, Food Hygiene and First Aid training for the successful applicant.

Salary: £9.00-£11.00 per hour            Start: ASAP

Saturday club play workers:

We are looking for playworkers for our Saturday clubs for children with additional needs:

Saturday morning 9 - 12pm for children 5-12 years at the HUT in Twerton

Saturdays 11- 2.30pm for children 12+ at the Odd Down Community Centre.
